There were some technologies being developed on the Gen V smallblock, which would have sort of made the N* redundant - like DOHC.

As always, we'll see what happens.....

I remember that from the UAW PDF. I always figured that would replace Northstar. But to fit where an OHV smallblock fits, you'd have to reduce the engine height. Maybe short stroke a smallblock to 5.0 or 4.8 liters to reduce deck height by .5 inch?

There is already a 4.8L smallblock in the fullsize trucks.

Just to offer you guys a non-California perspective... I almost never see a Town Car. The ones I do see are far from new. I see quite a few MKZs and a handful of MKX's. A couple weeks ago I spotted an MKS -- that's a nice looking car, and much larger than I thought it was based on pictures I'd seen.

I'd say I see more MKZs than I do Milans (which I suspect is not according to Ford's expectations), but nowhere near as many as I see Fusions (which probably is).
