Germany complaining about US auto aid

In a nutshell Germany is complaining that the US giving aid to US automakers puts European car makers at a 'competitive disadvantage' and that the aid received has WTO issues.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel wants to meet with Obama about the aid package.
I personally find this all quite ironic given how much public funding Airbus gets from Germany.
