What about all the electronics?
Does anyone realize how many computers are in a CTS that require input from the main PCM?
How did they get the old style GN PCM to communicate with the rest of the modern CTS?
The gauges alone are controlled by the BCM that receives data from the PCM over multiplexed computer style ribbon cables. Not a standard copper wire like in the GN.
I'd love to know the details as my buddy is attempting to install a GN motor in a '97 S-10 pick-up.
