Re: C6 Z06 with headers

[QUOTE=Chris 96 WS6]443rwhp baseline stock. 505 crank hp. That's a 13% driveline loss. If we assume the standard 15% then the Z05 is slightly underrated and should be more like 520 crank.[QUOTE]

Ont the run where they got that number the engine was heat soaked. With a cool engine it would probably be closer to 455-460 baseline.

Wow, looks like intake, headers, and tune will put you around 500whp. Not a bad deal.

I believe I mentioned that once or twice myself.

It should only take about 40 hp to make up for the extra 400 lbs of weight, so assuming the two cars 1/4 mile equally, the GT should be around the 485 rwhp stock range. Divide by 15% loss and that's right at 570, so 20hp underrated. Theoretically, of course
I have heard this ALOT as well, but I have never actually seen a stock dyno graph of a Ford GT, or any dyno graph for that matter. I would like to see what these cars typically baseline.

The Cobras are barely competition for a regular Vette in terms of what you get. No way will one compare except in a straight line.

Re: C6 Z06 with headers

And here is a thread that has a stock GT with 700 miles on it.

http://forums.clubsi.com/showflat.php?Number=5519275

Just for information purposes. Any and all arguments that this will cause are not my fault.

515. Not bad, but I'd like more info. Is that a Dynojet? Is that a corrected number? Etc. Etc. They just don't say.

That's what I'm waiting for. A nicely tuned cam will skyrocket the hp.

It would make less power than a cam and headers. the M112 runs way out of off at 480-500 rwhp. Sometimes even less than that. They have really bad heat soak problems.

The M112 is an Eaton unit, correct? I thought he was referring to a Magnuson roots blowers. The M112s do start to have really bad heat soak issues at intermediate boost levels though.
