Do you have a link? I never heard anything bad about them.

Nice numbers. If nothing more than a set of longtubes gains you 40 HP and 50 ft/lb torque at the wheels, you know Chevy has put a stranglehold on the LS7. Can't wait till tuning and cams are available!!!

443rwhp baseline stock. 505 crank hp. That's a 13% driveline loss. If we assume the standard 15% then the Z05 is slightly underrated and should be more like 520 crank.

Que Ford GT fanboys now.....Everytime they get nervous about the Z06 they come on here to defend their overpriced barge of a "supercar".

Re: C6 Z06 with headers

I seem to remember somebody here saying that longtubes + cam would add 100 hp to the Z06. Wait, that was me that said that.

Anyway, I got poo poo'd on for that statement. Looks like somebody needs to be eating some crow, but I forget who that was

Yeah, F-body motorsports seems to be growing a bad reputation on these boards. As for the Corvette, those are pretty impressive gains off just an exhaust. I wish I could have gained that much power off just a header install.

Eh, I haven't checked into it but the Ford guys claim bone stock dynos of 550 RWHP on the GT...that would equate to well over 600 HP at the crank, but strangely enough the two cars 1/4 mile times have been very comparable in tests so far.

Yeah I want to see those dynos. I'm not buying it w/o documentation. That would represent an underrating of 100 hp...650 crank hp.

It should only take about 40 hp to make up for the extra 400 lbs of weight, so assuming the two cars 1/4 mile equally, the GT should be around the 485 rwhp stock range. Divide by 15% loss and that's right at 570, so 20hp underrated. Theoretically, of course

13% is about right. Autos usually are higher, in the 15-17% range. So really, it's just about dead on it's advertised hp.
