Bob Lutz speaks

I always love interviews with Lutz because every comment he makes has real meaning.
Reading the above article makes me wonder (SSbaby shakes his head) why GM are so inflexible when it comes to designing cars for both left and right-hand-drive markets and the stricter federal safety standards. The new Corsa should be shipped to the US but it wasn't intended to pass US crash standards. Imagine the potential lost volumes for Saturn. It's probably due to GM's own 'mismanagement' that will eventually see it surrender global sales leadership to Toyota - a point that even Lutz now seems to concede, in the article.

Re: Bob Lutz speaks
What a quote...
"...And the analysts never get it. And you guys—it’s pathetic—can’t seem to publish an article without quoting half a dozen of these weenies, with arcane titles from business schools nobody’s ever heard of, and I don’t think you guys go out and check their credentials."
