Kind of mixed feelings on this one. It's sad to see a storied make like Triumph languish away completely dead. But then to see it revived by Krauts, and then make it FWD seems to be a bit of a downer too. Those things said, however, the Mini is a really great handling car in that sort of sterile Germanic way.

I'm 6'4" 185lbs and I have way more room in either an old Mini or a new MINI than in my Trans Am. They have a particular advantage in headroom, though straightline speed is their most obvious disadvantage.

As far as a Triumph goes, keep it simple, rwd and no Lucas electronics and all should be good. My parents had a TR7 when I was born and thats the car I rod home in from the hospital, in the passenger footwell. Guess that may explain why I like sports cars so much??

Im talking new bikes! The old ones are cool but suck to ride. Shifter on the right brake on the left is so confusing. Yea they leak oil too, and Lucas parts blow a**!

That would be the exhaust leak into that footwell.

Ah, that explains it!

I've been asking myself that same question for a while now..... I actually brought it up last night after I had her have a look at the Camaro concept:
