There is another blurb in the latest issue of Car Craft regarding the Camaro. Something about a RWD Monte Carlo rumor and they mention the Camaro name it there as well.

 

As long as I believed that Solstice would continue the 4th gen's GT-ish Camaro, I also believed a RWD Monte Carlo was a certainty. If Camaro returns to the "Pony Coupe" catagory, I doubt Monte Carlo will continue, or at least become a RWD coupe.

What bolsters this is the prospect that Impala may continue after the new RWD sedans come out in 2007. The new RWD cars will not be made at the factory that makes mid-lux, which seems planned to continue production till late in the decade.
