I agree. PacerX does not respect the fact that everyone is entitled to their own opinion as has been evidenced in the past time and time again, unless their opinion happens to agree with his. I may not agree with some of the things he has to say, but at least he's coming up with logic-backed opinions that don't just repeat the same old crap that everyone else around here has to say. That's some sort of crime?

And FWIW, "fascist", used outside of a political/military context generally refers to somebody who thinks that their way is the only way and anyone who thinks otherwise should be expelled/exterminated/banned/whatever.

 

Nobody told me extermination was an option!

whats wrong with him? he is pro GM but just doesn't agree with the way things are run. I like some of his ideas and I think some of the things he says are wrong, but at least he will bring data to back his opinion up.

During 10th grade, I attended a Jewish high school. That same year, a group of very fervent, very aggressive missionaries traveled through our predominantly Jewish town. They were knocking on every door with a mezzuzah, and selling their brand of Christianity. This was percieved as a grave threat to the integrity of the Jewish community, which is shrinking enough as it is. It was being discussed quite a bit in the school. The rabbi asked our class what we would do if one of these guys knocked on our door. The unanimous answer was "Tell him to go away."

The rabbi shook his head and said "Wrong, you invite him into your house, give him some coffee and respectfully speak with him as long as possible." The reason he argued, was that as long as the missionary was with us - more involved people with generally better Jewish educations - he would not be knocking on the doors of many others - who like most Jewish Americans knew very little about Judaism.

That's what I think about Buickman, who is very much a missionary for himself and his plan. As long as he's stuck here, arguing with people like Red Planet, Pacer, Z284ever and Guy, he won't have as much time to send out e-mails and get a huge following of people who don't really understand GM's problems.

 

Well, I thought it was clear that I thought banning somebody for having opinions other than your own was crazy, so I guess we could say 5 of you are crazy.
