I'd buy a 'real' used car for the same money instead.

... and that is coming from someone who hasn't bought a used car (other than my 70 Corvette...) in literally 15+ years.

19" wheels?! On a car that small? Holy crap (and wheel weight).

It does look 8 million percent better than the current, horrible Aveo5. The Aveo looked OK, if bland, before they gave it that gaping mouth for its freshening. This thing looks great for the class of car that it represents. The interior is pretty gimmicky and busy, but that's what young folks are into these days (hooray ).

Way, way better than the current Aveo. Six speed manual, 1.4L turbo, good styling, AND made in the USA?! If I were in the market for a teeny car like this, I'd be all over that thing. Based on pics, at least. If the "RS" has 19s, I hope the base car doesn't have puny 15s or something. 16s or 17s will be needed, at a minimum. I think 18s would probably be plenty on the RS.

Other good news is that if the car is tall enough to make 18s / 19s "fit" the height, then it might actually have enough headroom for me!

I love that they went with a 6 speed manual.

I think the production car will end up with 18"s. Usually the show cars get bigger wheels than production. Aura had 19", Camaro had 21/22", and just about everyone elses concepts had 20"s the last few years.

Kind of reminds me of the last gen Mazda 3 from certain angles. I'm liking it more. I hate the engine cover and hope it still looks good with smaller wheels. The shifter is much cooler than the weirdo deal in the Camaro.

The engine cover kind of reminds me of current Audis where hardware is 'compartmentalised' (if there is such a word)... although on this occasion, I don't think GM has done much for heat dissipation with the one-piece cover for the tiny 1.4L turbo. The young 'uns might dig it though!

Ya, I agree.... I can't imagine them putting that kinda extra cost into what basically equals a super econo car, even in 'hopped up' trim, though I suppose maybe the 'hot' model would have this, but I'd guess it to be pretty unlikely.

I hate the giant grill and everything else about the car seems decent but way too 'boy racer' for me. I'll leave it up to the sort of people that buy other quirky looking cars to decide if this car is a success. All I know is it better be WAY more pleasant to drive than the current Aveo, which barely beats walking.

Looks more like an amp/sub setup in the trunk...
