Thats what I've heard too. The C6 Z06 will be only slightly higher than the current car.

Blue Devil, if produced I'd expect to see it in the $100K range.

Ok guys i just got done talking to the guy that works for the parts supplier. He said that they are making Intake manifold gaskets for the LS7 Engine. the Displacement is 6.4 litres he went inot the company computer and looks at the engine diagrams. what could this 7.0 litre motor be?

My guess is that it will be significantly higher. First off, 500 hp is a magic number and people will probably be willing to pay for it. Second, there currently isn't much of a price premium for the Z06 over the regular Vettes, and I think Chevy may want to make the C6 Z06 a bit more 'special'.

The LS7 is probably going to be an expensive engine to build because of its use of more advanced technologies and also with it being built in a special low-volume factory. If that's the case, GM will need to recoup some of that extra cost.

My guess is that autoweek doesn't know what they are talking about and the '05/'06 Z06 will get a 500HP 3v 6.4L V8

on a side note, the Lingenfelter Twin Turbo 7.0L puts out 750HP
