With a bigger engine displacement than regular Vettes, it will make a big difference in justifying the price difference.
I'm sure it's just a typo, but the current Z06 stickers for about $52K. You don't think they'd reduce the price? It'll be about $60K, which would a great deal on a 6.0L 500hp vette. It's the bargain of the decade on a 7.0L vette.

Agreed. The price of the C6 Vette will be around the price of the current Z06 The C6 Z06 will be in the $57-$60k range and that's without dealer markup on both cars. Does that sound about right guionM?

The last article I saw quoted a base C6 price of 44k. Now the C5 base price is $44,535 so I'm thinking that first figure is just a benchmark. The Z06 right now starts at $52,385.

I don't know where you guys are getting this pricing from, but most reports coming out right now are predicting C6 MSRP to be just above what the C5 starts out at.

Again, if you're paying over $50,000 for a new Z06, you aren't looking hard enough.

It's amazing the numbers that the HP wars are generating. I wonder what Ford's response will be with the GT considering it's their "status" car. Turning up the wick on the 5.4 would not be that difficult to get 600 hp, but then there is still the weight issue. Could we possibly see that 351 v-10 with a supercharger go into the GT in a few years? This has to be the most exciting time since the mid 1960's to be looking ahead at new models coming out.

I believe we're talking sticker here. It's the only objective way to do it.

The C6 Z06 will most probably sticker close to $60K. Anyone who wants one the first year will pay at least sticker.

There was an artical posted here in November that stated C6 price at that amount. I know it's not official, but it's the only bit of info I've seen on it.

But your right....It's not official, so it's not necesarily that number.

What happened to the LS7 Z06? i thought the Z06 was going to have a 6.4 litre V8. Is this information from Autoweek Incorrect concerning the Z06, or is it really getting a 7.0 litre?

It was initially going to be 6.4 litres, but now it looks like they've upped it to 7.0. Perhaps they couldn't get the HP they needed from 6.4 litres.

I thought about the Blue Devil connection when I heard the name.

I couldn't figure out if it got the name because Wagoner liked it, or the people working for him named it that to get him to like it.

Typo.

I'd say about $55K
