What exactly are you trying to convince me off? Everything you wrote didnt make sense to me? Are you FOR a new Camaro? You never actully state your thoughts and information.. What press release? Explain yourself.....

Red Planet- Great to see you on here giving us hope
I met you a few years ago at the BGKY meet.
v8slayer- You really don't have a clue. GTO not any good? Give me a break. I've had 2 and they are awesome cars... just like Scott, errr Red Planet said. GM is dead and Hemi-kingdom-dodge is almighty? Wow... did you forget GM has the 400hp LS2 in at least 4 cars I can think of.... Corvette, GTO, SSR, and Trailblazer SS. And did you forget the 505hp zo6 that is a world class sports car? Truely amazing. Cadillac STS-V, CTS-V, XLR-V.... come on man... GM is doing ALOT right... quit reading all your magazines. I work in the auto industry as an engineer and if you think normal projects aren't top secret you are crazy... and if you think the even more important Camaro project isn't even more insanely top secret then you've lost your mind and you really haven't the slightest clue as to how things work. You should've seen how top secret the new Toyota Avalon was and the new Camry project is.... I'm working on some stuff for it right now.
And yes... I'm ashamed to supply parts to Toyota.
That's all... I'm out of here.

Re: Automobile Mag says Camaro dead in water
Either you are a ricer who doesn't like V-8's, a brain dead slayer fan who has smoked too much dope to understand WTF RP is saying, a troll, or all of the above.
Irregardless, you are entitled to your opinion that the Camaro will not be reborn, despite the strong hinting of someone intimately associated with the car that it indeed will be reborn. Hell, he has even told us when to expect it's debut. You are not, however, entitled to come on here and be rude.
Personally, I don't think RP owes you a Goddamn thing. If you don't believe him, fine, that's your right, but your attitude is downright disrespectful. You come across as a little snot nosed punk. So either grow up and start acting like an adult or get lost.

Re: Automobile Mag says Camaro dead in water
What the hell are you talking about? My atitude was in no way disrepectful or not meant to be disrespectful...I was just overemphasizing my thoughts and wanted proof. I am not a ricer nor a Slayer fan ( Not anymore really) I got just as much disrespect towards me from the other guys as you thought I had given Red Planet. So when is to expect to debut? Share with me the info you have or where to find it.
Re: Automobile Mag says Camaro dead in water
there are alot of reasons no one can say any specifics about a new f-body(CAW contract for starters). it's not as cut and dry as "here it is" or "heres when you'll see it". you have to read between the lines around here to see what can't be said. just browse through some of the posts around here(try looking at the posts Red Planet makes to start) you might find your proof right in front of you.

Try 2006 NAIAS for starters.

Re: Automobile Mag says Camaro dead in water
The car is supposed to debut at the January 2006 Detroit Auto show. The quote, actually from a thread about two weeks ago, was that we should "rilly, rilly be there" when asked about when we would see the 2006 Camaro. That was posted by RP, or the Fbodfather, or Scott Settlemire (sorry Scott, I hope I got that right). You have called him a rogue employee, not very respectful in my eyes, also "What exactly are you trying to convince me off? Everything you wrote didnt make sense to me? Are you FOR a new Camaro? You never actully state your thoughts and information.. What press release? Explain yourself....." Umm, No. Read the boards! If you aren't sure what we are referring to, ask! not demand. Maybe you did not intend to come off as a smart-***, ok, fair enough. But, to the majority of people who have responded, myself included, you sure sound like you are (a smart-***). That is why people are jumping on you.
You don't like the GTO, ok, your opinion, perfectly valid. However, many people do. You like DCX products? Again, fine, I think they are ugly ****ing bricks, catering to the rappper-wanna be gangsta crowd or ... well I am not exactly sure what crowd the Magnum Sedan, err Charger caters too. My opinion, equally valid.
Back to the Camaro matter, sure, it very well may not have any production orders for tooling or components. All RP has eluded to is that there is something that the crowd on a Camaro fan website really wants to see at the Detroit Auto Show (just a guess but it isn't the Challenger or the newest Buick crossover) . He is under embargo from telling us what he really knows. So he hints as much as he can without jeopardizing his career and position.
In the end, you can believe him or not. But after you type your opinion, step back and read it from the perspective of someone who is not inside your head, but someone who can only read your written word. You may find your choice of words suspect. Peace.

Re: Automobile Mag says Camaro dead in water
Yeah I read through them, Still kind of skeptical. I'm going to make sure I WILL be at NAIAS. By god if there is no RWD GM coupe there I will run a muck.
