Automobile Mag says Camaro dead in water
Automobile Mag says Camaro dead in water
I just received my September issue of Automobile Magazine. Page 20 has a story about the GTO but it closes with the statement "Don't expect GM to produce a Firebird/Camaro rival for the Mustang, either, as those nameplates are dead in the water."
The article is online here
looks like there's no end to the confusion.
By the way, the sketch in the magazine is different than the one online. Same body but different front end.

Re: Automobile Mag says Camaro dead in water
I loved this part
When was it considered a roadster??
was supposed to provide the basis for a number of North American rear-wheel-drive products, notably the Buick Velite roadster
Re: Automobile Mag says Camaro dead in water
Someone should make a record of all the magazines and sites that are saying we won't get a Camaro, from Car and Driver to Edmunds. Then when it comes out we can make a big deal about how someone hole in the wall place of the internet knows more about future products, than those that write for magazines (it's their job to know what we know in our spare time). Maybe people will realize that alot of the mags are filled with crap (i.e.....all GM cars suck and have bad interior, regardless).

While I think I know most of these mags get their info from less than reliable sources .....there's still a part of me that thinks maybe, just maybe they got some word from something concrete

Don't cha know...the next GTO is going to be made on Zeta-lite
Re: Automobile Mag says Camaro dead in water
So let's see here.... Road & Track says there will be a 2007 Camaro, and Automobile magazine says there won't be a Camaro at all. I think I'll ignore the mags and listen to Red Planet.

I wonder if there is a way to make sure that you read at least 100 posts in this forum before being allowed to post.
Stop and think for a second here guys....the man from Mars still has a job....what is his job title? Thank you, end of story.
