Another 5th gen concept

No, it's not the one you may be thinking of.

This was over at GMInsidenews.com. It's a modified (bigals87z28) version of another concept done by Rex Raider and based off of a Caddy Sixteen of all things.

Side views, IMO, are easier to pull off then front/rear or 3/4 views.

This is nice though. I was thinking maybe a narrowed and possibly blacked out b-pillar would help.

I like the general shape, but I don't expect the winshield rake to be that large on the 5th gen. I am thinking more along the lines of (gasp) 1st gen's rake. It also has a "Crossfire" look to it, for better or worse.

edit: I also didn't know Z06 wheels came in 24's

Don't care for that at all. Wheels are ridiculous compared to rest of the car... talk about dubs. Look a the gap from the top of the front wheel arch to the tire. I'll pass.

The wheels are way too friggin big! What are they supposed to be, 20's?

However, I do like the general shape of it. Throw on some more realistic sized 17's or 18's and stretch the wheelbase a bit and we might have something.

I like it ok, but it's a tad plain. Perhaps that's because we can't see the front or rear, though.

Curiously the roofline and general fastback style remind me of the new Mustang. I'd like to see something just a little bit "edgier"....

First thing that came to my mind was Chevy Vega. Weird. I think this design is trying too hard.

First one to come to my mid was an early 240Z, but Vega is pretty close, too...

Looks a lot better than some of the ones I've seen. Still waiting for the official drawing from GM, though.

RexRaider did a Riviera base off the Sixteen. You can see it here

Anyways, this Camaro one has things i like and things i dont. I like the over all shape, but in the middle especially lower down, for some reason it reminds me of the new Mustang. Plus i would personally rather have a full on trunk instead of hatch
