AMG's 504hp 6 passenger crossover R-class
Mercedes-Benz is already at an advanced stage of development with an AMG version of its new R-class. The rapid six-seat crossover vehicle (part MPV, part 4x4) will be the first in a whole line of future AMG models to receive a new naturally aspirated 6.3-litre V8 engine being developed as a replacement for today’s supercharged 5.4-litre V8.
The new powerplant will produce 504bhp in its highest state of tune, although Mercedes is expected to alter the output to suit the various AMG models.
In the R-class, the new V8 will channel its drive via a beefed-up version of Mercedes’ 7G-Tronic seven-speed automatic gearbox to all four wheels. Mercedes’ Airmatic air suspension will be fitted as standard though, as these photographs reveal, the R-class’ tall body means it will have its work cut to minimise body roll when the car is pushed hard.
Setting the AMG version of the R-class apart from the standard version is a more aggressive-looking body kit with a deeper front bumper, chunkier side skirts and AMG’s signature quad exhausts.

6.3L N/A v8, 504hp. Sweetness. But i'm going to miss the supercharged 5.4 v8's though and their monstrous tq.
I hate the use of slushbox's on all MB/AMG's, but once again, AMG > ///M. In terms of pure power and ***** atleast
.Hp figures are out of control. It was just a decade ago that most supercars couldn't break the 500hp mark, and now you've got freaken 6 passenger crossover (basically a shorter minivan) as well as SUV's and trucks surpassing it.

yea, in the last few years AMG has been going crazy. and mercedes offers all sorts of cool stuff thats "stock." 500+ hp cars that can be daily driven. twin turbo v-12's those folks are having a ball.

wow.. that is kinda crazy.. I hope whoever buys/drives one of those is smart enough to take it easy when are carrying that many people..
Reminds me of the time when I had my Avalanche packed with me, 3 other adults, and two kids.. doing the speedlimit (as do most NWer's do) on the highway, on the right lane, on a rainy saturday night.. My sister in law shouts "Gee, Ken, can you go any slower?"
"Besides me, I got 3 other adults, and a 1 year old and a 6 year old in here, under my control of a 6000 lb vehicle... I've been driving all day, I'm tired, its dark, and its wet. Top it off, the reason why I'm driving all of you is cause you managed to hydroplane off the road and total your Sentra(with these people in it!). I don't think you're the one that should be giving driving advice right now!"
