Well, since he put "confirmed" at the end of that, I guess it must be true!

You should start a "what do we want in the 7th gen" topic.

Re: 6th gen rumors

The future is in V6s.

Yes, V8s will still be available. However, in the direction they are going is that you're going to pay through the nose for them. Consider now you're paying on average about $10,000 for a V8 engine. Expect that to double in the next 8 years.

Yet, you are going to have V6s that will outperform V8s of just a few years ago. You are already seeing some of that today. V6 Mustangs today not only will rape LT1s and make LS1s work for a living, today's V6 Mustangs will outrun the original Boss Mustangs by a wide margin. The current V6 Camaro will run with LT1s. Challenger's new V6 puts it on par with Fox 5.0 Mustangs, if not quicker.
Agreed.

I think the 6th Gen Camaro will only have a V8 as the Top of the Line engine. Maybe a 5.0 or 5.3/5.4L that's making about 430-450 hp. I also believe the 4 cylinder will be a 2.0Turbo Ecotec making about 255 hp, but only in the base/LT Camaro. The RS will have the 330hp V6. And there's likely going to be some form of Hybrid option for the LT and RS models.

While I believe that Chevy is serious about the 6th Gen being a bit smaller and lighter - I still doubt any lighter than the 4th Generation Camaro was.
I'm expecting the overall length for the 6th generation to be about 186-188 inches. The overall width the be about 73-74 inches and the overall height about 54-55 inches. And a curb weight for the V6 models to be about 3,500lbs and the V8 model to weight about 3,600 lbs (all depending on options)
