6th gen Camaro styling poll.

Before the flame ***** say, "it's too early for that", it's not. We'd better start talking about this right about .....now.

And before the usual suspects cry, "YOU HAVE AN AGENDA", I'll say, I'm not quite sure how to vote on this.

Let's have a nice discussion....

The same debate has come up about mustangs and which direction they will go. The advantage the Camaro has is that it is an evolution of all four previous generations, so it can evolve from that. No need to reinvent the wheel when you can build upon previous success.

Either way, there are certain elements I'd like to see carried forward. The 4 rear tail lights and complex curves between the C-pillar and quarter panel for example.

I'd like to see some things carried over, but for the most part something new. Definitely not something "evolved" the way the 1st gen went into the 2nd gen. 1st gen looks much better than 2nd gen IMO and I want the 6th gen to look better than the 5th.

Timeless looking good is also important. Don't need a look that will "age" quickly.

Definitely an evolution. Way too soon for something fresh. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to have a redesign of a car that has just returned after being absent with a brand new design. How would it look like a Camaro if it got a fresh design every time? But I am biased because I feel like cars should take a long time to get a brand new design, they should be like the Corvette.

BTW, even though much of the same sheet metal was used 1st to 2nd gen, the change was so radical I don't consider it an evolution at all, but that's just me.

I want a evolution of the exterior , the 5th gen is absolutely gorgeous . But on the inside I wanna fully contemporary design with no retro cues what-so-ever

I'm not too hung up on the direction. Only thing that matters to me is that it looks good. My biggest concern would be the interior. They need to get that right as well.

I have always liked the concept drawings before the current camaro was unveiled.

change the front/back around a little more to look like an evolution of the current design. I like the side profile in those cars, it doesn't look HUGE and need 20" wheels to look right.

make it about 7/8ths size of the current camaro.

doesn't really matter though as I can't afford one so im not the target market

I like to see minor work to the exterior and a new look at the interior. I like to see upgraded materials used along with new features.

Pffft... on the 67-69 influence. I'd rather see something akin to the 70.5-72 cars myself.

Those were my fav Camaros as well

having said that. I still wish for an all new design, as I did for the 5th gen.

Needs to be based on the 2nd Gen obviously

Actually I think it needs to be both. It should have cues from the 5th gen, but it should also be new and get people excited.
