What he saw was a 97 Z28 with the front and rear sheetmetal of 69 grafted to it. The car was at the Frankenmuth Auto Fest. It was white with orange stripes with GA plates. And I wasn't the only one to see it either.

I had seen the red 69 Camaro with a 3rd gen nose grafted on, but I hadn't heard of the 5th gen with 1st gen sheetmetal until now.

I highly doubt it.

 

Why? Guy said there are mules running around. So this one may be explained, that doesn't mean that there isn't a 5th gen mule driving down a deserted road somewhere right now.

There are no 5th gen test mules at all. period...

 

 

Actually I said I wouldn't be a bit surprised if there was a mule running around, and I used the "Cor-maro" as an example.

Mules test cooling, chassis components, and a whole host of other engineering items. If GM is planning on bringing anything out within the next 2 1/2 years, it's an extremely safe bet that something is on the road right now testing.... especially now that money's available to test them.

I'm not denying that what I saw could have been someone's backyard creation but it didn't look exactly like a 4th gen. It looked like a mixture of the SS concept on a 4th generation.
