505HP V12 for Cadillac?

An STS V12 would be nice, but my thought would be that the car is a little small for the target market.
A car around the exterior size of the DeVille, with AWD, classic Cadillac stying (think Art & Science combined with a 1959 Cadillac) a 6spd automatic and all the toys.
A big, bahn-storming 500hp V12 rolling cushy beast that growls:
"I'm so refined, you oughta get out of the left lane out of simple deference to my undeniable stature."

I heard they are building the V-12 for a version of the caddy Sixteen that Bob Lutz is pushing. Apparantly they were also developing a LS2 based v10, but the vibration characteristics were destroying the cranks on the 10's. Needs to be done IMHO.
Re: 505HP V12 for Cadillac?
THe pushrod V10 should stay in the Caddy trucks and the DOHC V12 should be for the cars (and maybe trucks too
)
S/C LS2 is great for the Silerado SS and GTO

So how do those gauges work? In one shot they've got standard gauges and the next there's a nav system. It's cool if it switches like that, but I have to wonder how practical it is to make you choose between seeing your gauges or seeing your nav screen; even if it does give you some HUD information on speed, rpm, and such.
BTW, I was going to say, it sure seems like a waste to have a V12 w/ only 505hp when the LS7 does that N/A. Granted I'm sure that a Caddy V12 would be a far smoother and possibly more driver-friendly motor, but at quite a considerable extra cost and probably a lot heavier weight, you'd hope that they'd make it make a little more power, just to make the buyer feel like it really is the best all around motor he could get.
Lastly, I'd like to add that I can't friggin' wait for LED headlights to become commonplace on cars. The prices are dropping like a rock on LEDs, and the advantages of them to are almost too numerous to count. One being the ability to individually direct the light in a variety of patterns actively based on the driver's surroundings. IE: highbeams would be accomplished by the same array as lowbeams, active lighting around corners would be a piece of cake, almost instantly lowering the lights when hitting a bump or going over a hill to reduce the blinding effect on oncoming drivers, etc.
Uh... if you really think that the Accord or anyone else in its price class would ever be expected to have a 505hp supercharged V8 then you've been smoking a bit too much reefer.

Id like to see an Accord with a 505hp supercharged V8.
This is sweeeeet. I liked the V12 idea, but a supercharged LS2 works fine for me!

A supercharged 505 HP is likely to be quite a bit healthier than naturally-aspirated 505 HP. Think "area under the curve". If the revs are kept down, it's also likely a lot easier on the bottom end.

PD blowers are not easy on the bottom end. They build boost fast hard and hotter than turbo or centrifugal blowers. Intercooled or not. Even with a bypass valve there are full throttle low rpm situstions. A NA motor will survive longer in street cars.

BTW, I'd have to second PacerX's opinions, even if the idea of such a car is somewhat foolish nowadays. It'd be great to see Cadillac build a true world-beater. It would seem that this segment of the market is a bit lacking right now, considering that neither the S-class nor the 7-series are quite the cars they used to be.

. Seriously, this car is sweet. I wish they would hurry up and build the ULS too.
