There are quite a few stock 12 second '05 evo's running around. Solid low 13's seems to be where you need to be these days.

 

A 300C is a pretty big car to be running with a EVO racecar.

 

and also a big car to be running against a possible future Camaro. What does the c6 run the 1/4 in? i'm wondering how close this next Camaro is gonna be to the vette. I mean, you can't just have some 4-door running with F-cars, much less kicking them around. but hey, maybe the srt-8 sales will determine whether we get a judge.

 

Well the only thing it'll be running with an Evo in is a strait line... something the Evo wasnt necessarily designed to do anyways.

 

stock vs stock it'll blister that Evo in a straight line, especially from a rolling start, hwy race, etc...

 

New Jersey? I wonder if that run was at Atco. That's a hell of a track. C5 Z06 owners 3 or 4 of them have hit 11s stock there.

A loaded SRT-8 is $47k, A loaded CTS-V right now is $47k. i think the V is actually $200 cheaper with that employee discount.

 

Given my experience with my own car, both on autoX courses and public roads, and extrapolating that out to the 300C SRT-8, I can say that there's going to be some disappointed Evo owners if they're not very good drivers. It is somewhat stunning what a big car can do with stiff suspension and big tires.

Too bad my supplier discount doesn't apply to SRT-8 models (I've heard that even Chrysler employees have to buy them at retail prices).

CTS-v starts at $49,490. Since it's already loaded, that's it loaded price as well.

The 300C SRT-8 starts at just $39,920. Almost $10,000 less than a CTSv.

What about SRT Options?

SRT Group 2 at $1995
Rear seat video at $1,150
and finally, a $2,100 gas guzzler tax.

Grand total for a loaded Chrysler 300C SRT-8 is $45,165.

About $4,500 less than a loaded CTSv.

GM's employee discount puts the CTSv at around $47,000.
GMS is $44,168.

The SRT-8 has $1,000 off if you finance through Chrysler finance, putting it at $44,165.

Unless you are buying GMS, the SRT is still 3 grand cheaper.

 

I think he meant that you can get a CTS-V for $47K with the GM employee discount, hence the "right now". But I don't know if that is close to the actual prices. That's just how I took it.

 

Still makes the SRT 3 grand cheaper.
