Agreed with Steve. A G35 or 350Z belongs on that list too. I would still chose a GTO though.

I'm guessing he just wanted to keep the list down to American cars. Althogh the Impala and monte don't really belog on the list Since they are FWD s/c V6 and can be had for $23K-$25K after rebates and discounts. The Bonnie GXP would have been a better fit for the list because it is about $30K after rebates and has a V8.

Hands down GTO , even over a g35 or 350Z . I was looking at one today at the dealership , they amazingly left one outside over the weekend . Trying to picture it sitting on 18" Fikse FM-5's ......absolute droooooooooool

You got a big diff in costs between a GTO and a base 300c there.

I think the optioned 300C will still be less than a current GTO - especially one with a dealer rape, er I mean markup.

IMO, the 300C is a tough value to pass right now.

Then GTO, then Magnum - on the list you had there Z284ever!

There's a few cars I'd rather choose also that aren't on that list. But, going by the list, the 300C.

Same here The new Evo MR will be a helluva car. I might have to trade up next year for one. From this list, though, GTO.

The 300C starts at $32,995 (MSRP), the GTO starts at $32,495 (MSRP).

I assume you were thinking of the base v6 that is just call 300, it starts at about $23,500.

Yup!

The point is that there IS a lower cost version available that offers equal styling as the high-dollar version. The GTO and some others don't offer anything but the $35k version.

You did notice my second choice though, right?

What does the GTO do better than the '05 Mustang GT?

Although I voted for the GTO, I'd prefer the G35 coupe with an ATI blower to help it move out of its own way. The Infiniti provides a much more upscale look that the GTO can't match. I blame Chevy for this change in my outlook.

Hey GM...commit to building me a 5th Gen Camaro already! I don't care about the SS Vs Z28 debate, or the mid level V8 option debate, or the what color should the inside of the ashtray be debate. Build me a worthy successor to the Camaro name (and fer chrissakes put a first rate interior in it) and I'll buy two of em (my wife loves Camaros too)

I see what your saying, but the GTO would lose respect if it came with a 200HP V6 at $24K.

Everything except have a convertable top and V6 edition.

I agree, they need to hurry up, so much cool stuff it coming out from other companies it is getting hard to wait. I'll also buy two. A 240HP 3.9L V6 AWD Camaro for the winter and a 400HP LS2 RWD Camaro for the summer

You are comparing things that aren't similair.

Would you rather have a fwd car or a rwd car is more of the question I see asked here. GTO has the best performance platform of any of the cars listed.

The list sucks...but I chose the GTO...which is what I would buy if I had $30,000 just lying around for a new car.
