Re: 2014 Chevy Silverado Teaser...

I am kind of disappointed that its going to look so much like the current truck. The color rendering looks great, but at the same time I am thinking, thats what should have came out in 2008. I'll reserve final judgement when I see the real thing.

I always thought these trucks looked great....Note to Chevy, bring back the sportside beds!!

This looks pretty sweet, if the Sierra turns out anything like this.

Yes. Bring back the regular cab, short bed, step side! PLEASE!!

And the Sierra rendering looks very nice. I think I like that more than the Silverado rendering.

That isn't likely to happen, as there wouldn't be much demand outside of a few enthusiasts.

Quite frankly, I've never been much of a fan of the step-sides built after the Task Force model (Advance Design is still my favorite). While I like the idea of a regular cab short bed (fleetside); the extended cab is far more practical as an "everyday" truck, although I think the crew-cab version of the GMT900 is the more attractive of the two. The last really good looking Silverado was the GMT800, and then only the 1999-2002 version.

I hope this next version reverses the ills of the last generation.

I have had a few people who have seen the new trucks use the term "yawn" to refer to them. That being said, A Dodge Ram does not look much different than it did 10 years ago either. I think the volume in the full size truck market makes GM very risk adverse in terms of styling.

I like that Sierra. Not sure about the tailights though.

Re: 2014 Chevy Silverado Teaser...

It looks similar but there are some pretty significant changes, especially for the silverado. The obvious is the fender flares. They look great compared to the slab sided miss matched fenders on the current truck. A one piece not plastic front bumper. A much needed lower body line. ROCKER PANELS!!! A lot of people complain about the lack of a rocker panel on the current truck. Great looking grill. Overall, just a much better looking truck than the 07-13s, and they're all changes that people have complained about on the current truck... it's as if GM finally listened?

I like the Sierra sketch too, but the top of the headlights where they sweep back looks feminine/sissy-ish.

Headlights can make or break vehicle. I absolutely hate the dual stacked design. The odd thing is, back in the 1960s, GMC had dual (side-by-side) headlights, while Chevy had one. Now its the opposite. I actually love the look of those old GMCs, but stacked?

Re: 2014 Chevy Silverado Teaser...

I'm afraid the Sierra won't look as good as the white rendering above.

Look at the pics at this link:
Spied! 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra with Less Camo - WOT on Motor Trend

The 2 trucks are WAYYY similar. Looks like only difference is the grille.

That's too bad.

That new Silverado looks very nice to me. The rendering of the GMC doesn't appeal to me much and looks awkward.

I'm not feeling it. Too boxy and not much of an improvement.
