Ford has been making some good looking small cars lately (just not sold here) I'd way rather have this than an Aveo.

Ford has been making some VERY nice smaller cars...I've taken notice of that as well. Granted, I don't need a DD, but if I did, as much as the handling is kinda iffy I really do like the new Focus a lot. The MPG is great, the interior is well laid out, and it seems to give a lot for the $$$. The Cobalt looks downright bland parked next to a new Focus, IMO.

With that said, my local Saturn dealer has a new XR 2 dr Astra equipped EXACTLY the way I'd want one...bright red with an M5, black leather, 18s and the audio package. I drive by it every morning, wishing I needed a DD Sure, its a little slow, but to me the awesome handling and looks of that car makes up for it...not to mention the better MPG with the 1.8. I'd like to see that engine become the base engine in the next-gen Cobalt...

Between Ford Europe's small/medium cars, Ford NA's (crossovers, small SUVs, and trucks), Ford Aus's large cars they have all the pieces to be a killer company. They just don't seem to be able to build/sell them all in the same place.

That being said I am digging the Ford EU interiors, but the interior in my 08 Escape is top of its class (having been through every competitive model at the STL auto show about a month ago).

^Ford is not a global company as you can see.

And I still don't see what is appealing about a Mondeo in Europe.

The interior looks great. They need stuff like this in North America

Looks nice. I'm not sure the "Fiesta" name is a great way to go though. I don't think many people who know the name would be excited they'd revive it (at least here in N. America). Kinda like how GM/Pontiac didn't want to call the Solstice "Fiero". Not that it'll make it a flop, but I don't see it being helpful.

Maybe I'm nuts though.
