2005 Mustang ordering guide

Put some responsibility in the driver's hands, instead of jacking the price (and weight) of cars up.

Let's put it this way:
No amount of mandatory driver training will eliminate bad drivers, tired drivers, drivers not paying attention, drunk drivers, driver doing their make up while driving, drivers eating a taco, drivers reading a magazine, drivers fumbling for a CD, drivers smoking crack, drivers who just left their girlfriends and just broke up, drivers who dropped their lit cigarette in their lap, drivers who run a red light "just to see what happens", etc etc etc etc etc etc etc.
I want the best tech available to save me from dying or being injured when one of these morons crosses my path at the wrong time. You should too, I'll never understand why people don't care about or want better safety features.
And you guys thought my non-retro arguement was bad?
Anyway, Ford doesn't need IRS or more of the safety features that have been mentioned here. They don't need to. Why? Because Mustang has no direct competitor. When and if a new Camaro or other car joins this class of vehicle AND is in the same price range, I have no doubt that Ford will add IRS as an option. However, we do know Mustang will be getting IRS on the upper models standard. Why is everyone always trying to make a $25,000 car come with $40,000 car options?

so by your logic, the Vette is a much better car next to the Enzo because it sells more.
GM sold more Camaros last month then Ferrari did Enzo's; I guess the Camaro is a much better car.
And becaue the Mustang has no competetion, they can just sit back and relax? Stupid idea if you ask me. Try to keep it sharp and ahead of the game, and not fall into a lull.

Have you read the whole thing I wrote down? I guess not, because if you did you woudn't ask me that questions.
You can compare 2 cars when they have similar price, similar engines, similar performances ... You can't compare $51,000 Corvette with $600,000+ Enzo.
Mustang is now on top, but it does have competition, from Japanese cars. 350Z, Sti, Evo ... and there is still GTO.

As far as the Mustang being better then the Camaro, like I said... maybe in sales but in performance? Think again.
Brand new SS for $28,000?
More like almost $33,000 (we are talking about US dollars, right)?

00mustangv6, why not quit with the mustang is better rhetoric? In the end, it's just a matter of opinion and preferences. There are areas where the camaro excelled, and areas where it has failed. There are times when it had the mustang lineup beat, and times when it hadn't. Same goes for the mustang.

Cobra's only come fully loaded, and i'm sure that 28k camaro you mentioned isn't. Equally loading the SS with all the available options would have you right smack in Cobra territory (price wise). In the end, both are comparably priced when fully loaded. It wasn't too hard to walk out with a 30,000+ dollar SS.

its been covered and covered, and recovered. then dug up, and covered back again. the camaro was nearly always the better performer. the mustang was nearly always more liveable. no amount of bickering is going to change those two simple facts. anything beyond them is simply opinion, and not fact at all, and therefore useless to argue.
one point they do have was a better base motor, the 3800 is a hell of a performer, given the relatively old tech (by todays standards)

and also, 00, look around this 5th gen forum on the camaro. theres more than a little evidence to support its return in the next few (or 4) years. and Im looking forward to it (being a full blooded ford fan!)

I like Chevy more than any import (except for maybe some expensive European cars), but Ford is #1 for me. Again, that doesn't mean that I don't like Chevy, it only means that in my book Chevy is behind Ford.
