The GTO's are just for show. They don't actually do anything.

I don't know about you, but fake hood scoops that don't actually do anything is pretty ricey. Obviously you see nothing wrong with it.
even though the hoods on the GTO is not OEM-RamAir enabled, it does provide a path for allowing cool air in to somewhat cool the engine. So technically they do do something. You never know when HSV will come out with an aftermarket kit to tap into the hood to do ram air.

GTO is a 9 inches longer, and 4 inches wider.

Even I will say that is a significant difference.

As for the taillights belonging on a Civic... I guess that's a subjective styling thing if you feel that way...
Well I never went out with a tape measure or looked on the net to compare sizes but I still have to say that it is somewhat close to a Cavalier in size and maybe looks(as in body shape).Check out this customized Cavalier with a body kit.http://popularmechanics.com/automoti...g_Dscn1959.jpg and the GTO http://www.gearheadracing.com/carpic...2004GTO-09.jpg
I just don't like how the new GTOs look.

I can appreciate your not liking the GTO's looks, there are plenty of people who feel similarly. But don't judge the cars' sizes by their pictures, unless the two cars happen to be in the same picture. You do not have an accurate point of reference.

Ps. that's not a GTO THIS is a GTO

EDIT: They're not 4 doors. My mistake.
Both are wearing GTO names, so they are both GTOs.

Sarcasm may have been involved. I applied your definition of rice to your own car.

But you are from Toronto, and the weather lately affects people in different ways, so I forgive you.

You need a point of reference to judge an object's size.

Well the links that I provided shows what I mean by body shape being similar. Here are a couple links for size references:specs at middle of both pages GTO and '04 Cavalier
They are somewhat close in size.

Yeah, but which would you rather take out for a drive on a beautiful summer afternoon. Come on. Be honest.

I can never again refer or use any info from CAR and DRIVEL. Any rag that can take a subjective atribute such as "cool factor" and make the obviously superior performance car loose is worse thean a Tabloid. C&D is the Auto industrys STAR. What a Freaking joke!

Yes, something is similar in the greenhouse of 2-door Cavalier and GTO if looked at from a side.

Let's say there is a total void, nothing. And you have an apple in that void. How can you judge its size? There is nothing to compare it against. You cannot put your hand to compare how big the apple is relative to your hand. Then you have another void, with another apple in it. How can you know whether it's bigger, smaller, or the same as the first apple? You have to put the apples beside each other.

Let's also throw numbers outside, I doubt you or I can actually perceive car's size based on number of inches alone. We need to see the car in person, where we can use countless number of things as a reference. Or we need to have a picture of two cars, beside each other. Then we can judge whether it's smaller, bigger or the same. That's what I meant by "point of reference."

Mostly that was my point of the Cavalier comparison.

OK

I'll end this by putting it bluntly, it looks like a slightly bigger econo car.
