Ill third that... Old cars have awesome lines, and have the appearance of quality and sophistication... most of todays cars ARE ugly, and look like a cheap mass of tacked-together plastic. (yes there are exceptions of course, and my car is one of them)

Ill gladly sacrifice that 1mpg difference in aerodynamics to drive a bad *** looking car.

Oh, NO!!! where are the aerodynamics!?!?!?
They dont exist... but they dont need to either, cause one of these was still able to beat my car without breaking a sweat. Also you should notice that the car will be cheaper because you wont be paying for all that aero-testing.

oh btw... this is the opinion of an 18yo

The new Mustang has a lot more excitement and style in it's shape than the GTO, although I'm not sure what your definition of "nicer" is.

The new 05 Mustang does look pretty damn good in person. I seen one driving around in my neighborhood last week during the nice weather. It definitely caught my eye from a distance, as it did not look like any other car I normally see on the road.

On the other hand, I seen a GTO yesterday. After subconsciously dismissing it as a Dodge Stratus as it was coming upon me in the on-coming traffic lane, I realized that it was actually a GTO as it passed beside me.

Hopefully the same people on this site that bashed me for having a similar story won't bash you Thing is, it just doesn't stand out at all. This isn't necessarily a bad thing if you're looking for a sleeper.

BTW, the C/D of the Lincoln LS is .32 which is .01 better than the current Mustang and it's even "boxier". I'm expecting the 2005 Mustang's C/D to be about .31 +/- .01.

I guess I'm a minority around here when I say that I'll take aerodynamics over a brick. I personally think a 4th gen SS looks just as badass as a '69....oh and its quicker and faster and has more HP and can actually get past 130 MPH with those evil aerodynamics, aside from looking just as good IMHO.

Whatever aerodynamic advantage the new Mustang has over most other cars out there will quickly be dismissed by its huge frontal area, which matters just as much as drag once you get up to speed.

I didnt say all modern cars look bad, I love the looks of my car. I meant that in general, modern cars look horrible.

I thought they weren't out until August of this year what are they doing on the road now?

I do agree they look really awesome in person.

Job 1 is Sept. 7 but apparently Ford is producing small quantities out of AAI right now I believe to test the assembly line.

There are also a lot of prototypes such as that pic, running around. Testing is ongoing. Also, many of the cars are showing up at events to promote the lauch of the new car.
