I think the price is fine. Let's remember folks, its brothers include the Grand Am and Grand Prix. If you want to pay less, you can get one of those.

Price of options=$6000(theoretically)

So that would be 38K for a loaded to the gills model, and the more I think about it, I don't think that they would need a sport suspension package. Infiniti, Mercedes, and BMW have made a very good business case in offering expensive options on their cars.
I feel the same as you, but if they made it into a package or sorts and gave it a token name, you could easily drop the price for options you listed down to $3000 easy. You can compound the savings by making it a manual (avoiding the guzzler tax) and bring back the "Hurst" GTO
