Would this semi-drag setup be streetable enough for hard cornering?

Im not big into road racing / autoXing etc .. im a drag racer and this is going to be my next years suspension setup.. just wondering how it will act on the street because i have a bad habit of taking corners as hard as i can

current setup:
Eibach sportlines
stock decarbons (pretty worn)
32 / 21 sway bars
LCAs / PHR / SFCs etc etc

next years setup
Stock LT1 springs (cut 3/4" - 1")
Hal QA1 shocks all around
32 / 25 sway bars (25mm rear bar compliments of ZedZag )
lca Relocation brackets, etc etc

should i step upto a 35 front to balance my 25 rear bar ? or will my next years combo allow me to take corners as hard as id like on the street ...

ps. the front sway bar is obviously not gonna be on for drag racing

thanx for any advice... im not as educated as id like to be when it comes to suspension issues

I am certainly no exspert, but since you already have the 32, I'd try it 1st if I were you. If the back gets too loose and oversteers too much under power, then reduce the size of the rear bar and/or increase front bar to reduce oversteer, which it sounds like you could try for free from your pile of extra parts. Conversely, if the front plows into the turns and the rear sticks you'd increase rear bar and/or decrease front bar. All these assume you have tire pressures set to maximize contact patch and prevent rollover.

The springs, tire widths, pressures, and compounds, shocks and amount of torque you have will be among many factors that affect what's going to work well, so thats why I'd leave options open if I were you.

My car will be eggsperimental in the spring, too. I have a 30, 32, and 35 for the front, and a 19 and 21 for the rear. Hopefully, with all that up my sleeve, some combination will handle excellently with the rest of my setup.

If your into drag, stay close to stock ride height.

I'll have BFG ZR comp TAs all around . 275 front and 315 back

My car as it is gets some understeer, so i think the 25mm rear with the 32 front might help me right now .. i guess i'll just experiment next year with my new setup

Mudge: I'll only cut 3/4" .. i really dont wanna make my car look like a 4X4 ...

Question

32/25 and 1LE springs (even cut) would give you crazy oversteer.

It's surprising that you get understeer with 32/21s. Relatively few of the fast autocross folks use anything larger than a 19 rear, even with a 35 front. Those that do generally have stiff front springs to balance the big rear bar.

With your shocks, anything over the 19 rear will add to oversteer, especially on a less than perfectly smooth road.Stiffening the chassis and stock height will help with launch without any big drop in handling, but if you take your corners hard, the stiffer the rear suspension the more twichy the car.

I would recommend that if you are going to lower your car...get some good springs to do so. This will give you the handling and ride height and still have some ride quality.

Check into either LG Motorsports - G2 springs or some Eibach springs.

Although some discredit the Qa1's... I have seen them work very effectively on the road course.

I also wouldn't worry about the sway bars yet.... I still run the stock bars and the car handles perfectly with the G2 springs and Bilstein shocks.

I think you misunderstood me .. this is going to be a DRAG racing setup that will handle well on the street .. i have no intentions of auto-x or road racing with my car
thanx
