Smile Spring/shocks question

Hey guys, I was told that LG springs would be a great addition to a non-auto-xing / road racing car. I love to carve corner however. So do you guys recommend the LG springs and Strano revalved shocks or what would be an SS killer on the corners? Thank alot fellas...

the pro kit +bilstien combo is enough for daily driving. if you are serious about autoX, etc.. get some Konis or revalved bilstiens.

Here in Hawaii, if we drop our cars too much we have to apply for a special reconstruction sticker...gay stuff
Anyway, I'm not trying to drop it too much. I've heard that the pro-kit drops it over an inch... Not wanting to change bumpsteer kit if I don't have to...Thanks...

The Pro Kit should drop your car about 1.25" or so. The LG springs are closer to 1.5" I believe. You won't need a bumpsteer kit with either set of springs.

Sorry for the hijack.

It seems every body asks for a street combination. Can somebody recommend what combination is the best for an autocross type setup? Is lower necessarily better? Is the lowest the best?

I was thinking of going with DMS and revalved Bilstiens. But I'm not as concerned about getting too firm of a street ride. So I'm open to a lower/stiffer ride.

My Goal:

My times are usually about 3-4 seconds slower than the C5 Vettes with race rubber on a 50+ second course. I want to close that gap as much as possible. I don't expect to be able to beat them. But I want it to be as close as possible. I'm planning on upgrading to Hoosiers or VictoRacers early next year. I'm gonna go all out next year. I've done enough damage in Stock class. I'm moving up to Prepared.

All recommendations are appreciated.

Springs, Shocks, LCA relocation brackets, LCA's and APHB are in my plans. What combinations do you think?

autocross setup

Depends on class. If you want to modify your car the only class you can be comp. in is ESP. Thats just fact, for anyone who trys to disagree.

So this can be real easy.
You need shocks, obviously.
You need springs. But not just to lower because of CG. You need to lower because you can pickup neg camber. Align with max neg camber and max castor. Toe is youre choice. I ran 0 all year but am going to a little toe out next.
Stiffer is not better. I am using a 500lb spring and 35mm front bar 125lb rear spring with a stock rear bar.
You need wheels and tires. I've used both so trust me. Skip the 275's and go strait to the 315's. Why not just do it right the first time.
You NEED a Torsen T2R this is a signifigant improvement over stock and one of the best mods done to an autocross car. Without question.
You will need a rod end PHR.

LCA and LCA brackets are not needed and will put you in a class you wont be comp. in. Local level sure. Unless a good driver in a better car shows up.
