Post Shock problems? shop says no

I have somthing major wrong with my shocks/suspension I don't know what.

what I do know is that the body of my car is cutting into my back 2 tires. I have taken my car to 3 shops now and all of them have told me that my shocks are working perfect. but I can scrape bottem going down the highway @ 70mph over a SMALL bump.

someone sugested that I get air shocks, but then I find out that air shocks are a pain and have a crappy ride.... I don't know what exactly is wrong. but if it's not the shocks what else can I do to fix it?

ohh btw I drive a 1999 firebird

any sugestions would be greatly appreciated

Is the car lowered? How much? Adjustable pan hard bar? What spring rates? What shocks do you have? Wider than normal tires? Aftermarket wheels with the wrong backspacing?

Really need to know exactly what setup you have. Since this is posted in the Autocross section. I assume it's not stock.

ohh man, I'm totally not a car person. (which is why I'm posting asking for help )

everything on the car suspension wise is factory.

I do have 18.8 rims which stick out a little farther than the factory rims and tires. but I have the low profile tires on them, so I still have the same ammount of clearance as with my old tires.

the car has not been lowered any, as far as the backspacing for the tires.... well the shop I bought them @ put them on and they do that shi* all the time so I assume that it's all correct.

I'll try and get some picts up later if that will help

It definitely sounds like wheel size is your problem. You may be able to fold the inside of fenders in to give you a little clearance.
