Personally I'd reccomend the rod ended ones, if nothing else at least the ones with the rod ends on the axle side.

But they are all very good items. LG is one vendor that really stands behind their product unlike some others.

Good rod ends are quiet. My LG rod ends have ~15K miles on them and do not make a noise. Cheap ones like many vendors sell with make noise right off the bat.

Cheap rod ends from cheap components are noisey. That experience has left most to draw far reaching conclusions that a rod end is noisey.

I have LGs poly/rod end LCAs and they are as quiet as stock.

I have used LG G2 front LCAs with rod-ends since 1998 or about 25,000 miles. The rod-ends were still quiet!

I recently broke the driver's side arm on a ridge from road construction. The arm cracked the entire length on the underside where the arm takes angle past the shock up to the ball joint.

I contacted LG. He indicated that there was a recall and that the design had been improved (2 additional steel plates welded on) We agreed to purchase another pair for $499 + shipping and he reimbursed me for $280 (includes return shipping) when I sent the bad arms back to him.

This was fair, as it had been almost 6 years with 25,000 miles on them (mostly street miles, 2 years negotiating around brutal road construction). I had expected to replace the rod ends within another 2 years anyway and that would have cost $120 alone. So now I have 2 new arms with 4 fresh rod ends.

Also now LG provides trick rubber seals that help keep abrasives off of the rod-end surface.

The only downside to Rod-ended LCAs is the alignment time. It took a very good shop 3 hours to align my car. Because of this, stay away from front upper control arms with rod ends, OR you will never get the car square and aligned.

Lou is a good guy.

He was so helpful that I ended up purchasing the aluminum rear LCAs with chrome moly rod ends and the aluminum panhard rod bar with chrome moly rod ends. These aluminum pieces are really trick tapered pieces! They are not just standard aluminum tubing with flats like my RK Sport PHR bar was. The PHR bar is much stiffer than my RK Sport PHR was and the rod ends are much better. The LCAs are much much lighter than my heavy steel Global West Spherical Bearing LCAs and provide more tire clearance for my 315mm tires (or maybe 335mm tires... hmmm?)

Thanks for the input guys especially Corner for writing
so much.

I still decided to order the street version w/o the rod
ends, for 147 I had enough to get a Hotchkis Adj PHR also.
