LCAs and PHR Question

LCAs and PHR Question
I will soon be purchasing LCAs and a PHR. I drag race and autocross 5 times a year. The car is not a daily driver and now only sees approximately 5K miles a year. I am thinking I will get either single or double rod-ended pieces? I don't mind a little more road noise, but I don't want it to be excessive. I have been considering LG Motorsports, Global West, and Spohn. Does anyone have any experiences/suggestions? Thanks

It's kind of hard to add to the tons of threads on this topic that have appeared before. Poly will be louder than rubber; rod ends will be even louder. Some folks don't seem to have any issue with it, others do. Certainly for a track car, rod ends will be "best", and since you don't drive the car much on the street, that may be the right answer for you. I can tell you that for *me* I wouldn't want rod end suspension on a car I had to drive much on the street.

I have slotcar racing rod ended LCA and Panrod, very nice pieces going down the street and on small bumps you don't even notice them. On big bumps they thump pretty good, my hyperco springs and crappy shocks don't help. On a car that is not a daily driver its not bad and a BIG improvement.

I used a 4 foot long piece of galvanized steel, 2 inches wide. Cut 12 inch pieces to box each LCA ,centered them and welded. the other 24 inches I used, centered and welded, to box the PHB. Painted them, lithium greased the bushings, and reinstalled them.I did not do this as the cheap way out. By retaining the stock bushing but eliminating the twist and flex of the steel you get the best of both worlds IMO. It completely eliminated wheel hop on acc. and braking, plants the rear better corning, doesn't get skittish on bumby turns.

I have a G2 double rod-ended panhard bar. I've only had it on a few months and a couple autocrosses but it hasn't added any more noise to the car at all. The rod ends appear to be really nice-beefier than others I've seen pictures of. Nice piece although It didn't fit perfectly on rear end (my bracket had to be bent slightly). I have their poly/rod lca's on order right now. Most G2 parts are 25% off right now (my LCA's were 165 shipped to KY). BTW I'm also on the KY-Fbodies Board (RobZ71LM7).

Response to WOT
LG 25% off sale is BS.
Contacted Justin at LG via email. He tells me that all suspension parts are 25% off right now.
I am interested. I submit some questions about the $1595 coil-over kits. Then he responds that that kit is not included in the suspension sale! I guess the coil-over kits are not considered shocks and springs!
Give me a break!

For best handling with race tires you want to have a few Heim joints in the rear end. I have a poly/spherical LG panhard rod that makes no noise what so ever ( and yes with race tires you can induce bind in the PHB , I have had this experience) OTOH considering that 1 heim joint seems to get rid of the bind I'm not sure why you wound need both ends of the PHB that way.
I have 1LE rear LCAs and don't seem to have much problem with them but I'm sure the poly/spherical ended ones are better just more expensive and more noisy. BTW my car is a daily driver used in Solo 1 and open track events , ( no autox , that's for Hondas and Miatas)
