insurance and autocrossing

Does anyone know if State Farm insurance will cover body damage from an incident at an autocross? I accidentally tried to move a fence pole with the front corner of my Z and...well, you know.

A friend of mine t-boned his 'Stang GT around a light pole 5 years ago and State Farm covered the car (totaled out the car). I thought they officially had pro autocross attitude, but have since been told a few other things. Does anyone know for sure?

Thanks.

This question has come up on another forum I frequent and the short answer seems to be that no one is sure. Allstate has written some specific language about this and you would be screwed with them. Best thing would be to give it a try and see what they say. If they won't cover it then that's a bitch but sometimes when you play you gotta pay.

Thanks for the reply. I fully accept all 'pay for play' responsibilities. It'd be nice to know before I go to plan 'B'.

simple, call and ask.. record the conversation(make sure the person you are talking to knows that).
