I would look into adjustable shocks. I think it's better b/c then you'll be able to tune your ride the way you wan it. I've got KYB AGX on mine and they are great.

I was thinking the same exact thing, however I was advised by alot of people over lt1 tech that if I was looking for ride quality then the bilstein hd were the best most economical way to go. Shortly I should be picking up a set.

PS. Isn't this the wrong forum, I think you want a tech section not GP section.

very true I guess my point is that you are stuck with what ever damping rate the shocks are set at and we all know everyone has their own preference. Not saying that Bilstien aren't good shocks but I would prefer to have options

Yeah you are stuck with the rate which the bilsteins come with and that is from what I hear the only major downfall. It really comes down to:
1- are you going to be daily driving with occassional drag racing?
OR
2-are you going to be drag racing with occassional daily driving?

if its 1 go with the bilstein hd, but if its 2 I think you gonna want a shock that can be adjusted like HAL or KYB.

The hard banging in the rear when you hit bumps is probably due to your control arm bushings being worn out, not a bad shock. This was the exact problem with my car and was solved with replacement control arms with polyeurethane control arm bushings.

"Bilsteins.... why"
Because when your going 90 down a bridge and a semi tire falls off you better hope your car can handle well.
