bilstein question

ok i know this question has probally been asked a million times but im lookign to get new shocks and for cost resons i decided to go bilsteins. my car has hotckis springs. i dont know rates but im just driving my car on the street. i called bilstein and they told me for my spring to just go with hd's and not to get them revalved. but i found a deal on the slp bilsteins that would run about the same. what shocks should i go with slp or hd's

They are firmer shocks but I think you'll notice a better ride. Your springs (Hotchkis) stiffness varies greatly, softer than stock initially and much stiffer as they compress. The HD's will do a much better job of controlling those spring rates and the ride will be better because of it IMHO.
