Baer PBR calipars noisy?

I was wondering if anyone else is running these and have a lot of noise just driving down the road? You can hear the calipar bouncing around in the bracket just driving down the road when you go over the smallest bump. Are they suppose to be this noisy?

Thanks
Jeremy

If you are talking about the same PBRs as the C4s and Cobras... no, they should be quiet. I say 95% chances are that you're missing the anti-rattle clips that attach to the pads. Most aftermarket pads don't include them. If you can grab the caliper and move them up/down within the bracket, that's your problem.

My understanding is you can buy the clips at Carquest, NAPA, and Advanced Auto. Make sure you look at them before buying.

If it is worth anything, I use the BAER C5 PBR calipers, which are different than the PBR or PBR2s, and there is no noise or rattle.

They dont move up and down, but they move left/right. Apparently the calipar sits in a bracket and moves side to side and follows the rotor to reduce changes of warping the rotor. It is the PBR 2 piston calipar on 12" rotors.

Where do these anti ratle pins suppose to go? I only have 1 clip and it holds the whole calipar in the braket.

I'm still not totally clear what calipers you have, PBR makes both the C4/Cobra and the LS1/C5 style. Both are twin piston and have 12" versions. From your description it sounds like the C4 style.

Anyways, if these look like yours, the anti-rattle clips are circled in blue. They clip onto the pads.

I don't have part# but check for "brake parts kit" (or similar) with the stores I posted above. The clips are sort of an S-shaped piece of metal, you need 4, one per pad.
