Atlanta Autocross

If anyone is close to Atlanta, we have an autocross this Sunday at Turner Field. We already have 140 people pre-registered, we usually have 150-200 show.

It was great!!! I attended the Evolution autocross ( http://www.autocross.com/evolution ) school on Saturday. HIGHLY recommended. Very good instructors, well organized and extremely helpful if you want to go fast. They have a Phase 1, 2 and 3 schools and other types of school/practice/challenge events.

Go to http://www.apexbenefits.biz/ABS-Mtrsports.htm for schedules etc here in Atlanta.

Sam Strano! I ended up .3 seconds behind Tommy (finally) and ONLY after I rode with him. I dropped 1.5 seconds after that ride. He's an awesome driver. I let him take my car out at the practice course on Saturday and of course he proceeded to crank out two really fast times.

Now, if I can just buy that LT4 to drop in.......

Sam, thanks for all the help with the suspension stuff. Tommy seemed to like how it handled. To me it felt very controlled and predictable. Of course, 315's all the way around doesn't hurt either. But it does hurt when you have a +- 50hp disadvantage and 80lbs more on the front end. Tommy commented about how his made more power. And it does. And, his stops better. And I can't drive as well. I said that.

It sure was good running after 12 years off....

(Update) I just got the results last night. I PAX'd 13th out of 210 drivers and had the 9th fastest time!!!!! Tommy PAX'd first of course.
