I mention on there how much paint it took. I have heard that several body shops complained about this and the formulation of the paint has been changed so as to not take sooo much paint. That's a good thing because it will be cheaper for ya

Brent, how much would that have costed you to do if you had just gone and done it outright??? And, how much of a price difference would it be between that color and say, electron blue or something like that? Thank you!

From my paint guy, that would cost around $5000 with no body work. Materials in that car are WAY up there because of the paint. He would paint a car in electron blue for around $2000 I believe or change the color for $3000. So, because of the color, it was $2000 more or there abouts.

LOL!

You should get a quote from a local painter who is good... they might not charge as much for the labor and now that the paint cost is down it might be a little more reasonable
