window tinting advice
I had 5% on the mustang in the city I couldn't see ****, always had to lower the windows, it was cheap tint though.
My dad has something like 5% on the vette its rough to see out of.
I got 18% all around on my G6. Law is 25% front windows, 15% rear. It was perfectly fine at night in orlando, but up here in port orange, sometimes its a little rediculous and can't see alot and I end up opening my windows, kind of dark in some areas.

To a certain extent, it depends on the vehicle. My Sunbird had huge door windows and a low seating position. I'm 6'4" but my knees didn't touch the dash nor did my head touch the roof. My wife's Blazer on the other hand has a higher seating position, a smaller side window, and no sunroof. I have less leg and headroom in the Blazer.

^^^ Not my car, but the same body style. As you can see, there is virtually no protection from the sun's rays. If the side or rear side windows didn't get you, the sunroof would.

^^^ This is identical to my wife's Blazer. The triangle and rear side windows are factory tinted at 16%. The front seat windows and rear window are not tinted. They're 70%. Most of the time I don't burn in the Blazer. The angle isn't right to attract a lot of sunlight. Occasionally when I do feel it burning, I can scrunch myself closer towards the center.
Check your vehicle windows. They may have a UV guard on them from the factory. Newer vehicles tend to have them while older vehicles don't. It'll tell you when you look at the window description in the corner.
