Window switch panel?

Does anyone else have a problem with the window switch panel popping out of the door handle? How do I fix this. I know it happened on my V6 when I tried to remove them to paint them (I lost the little metal clip). It happened to my Z and wondered if there is an easy fix for it. If not, does anyone know how much a new panel would cost?

I tried supergluing it on my V6 and either it wouldn't hold or the sun would heat the glue up and it would pop out again. I guess I'll try it this time though, the things really starting to **** me off (I'm really touchy about my car ).

Same here

If the glue doesn't work I'd say go to a junk yard and get either just the new little clip dealy or the entire switch assembly

try NEW clips, or at least use some needle nose pliers and make them springy again... also, the wires in there get really stiff and tend to be the cause of it "pushing" out... maybe a heat gun would work to soften the wires??? just an idea, make sure you ask someone wiser.

I had the same problem with mine. I took out the clips, drilled small piolet holes where the clips were, then screwed in some screws to hold it in. With the whole assembly upside down I put the one in the back so that the tip of the screw is in contact with the part that the clip was holding on to. For the front one, the head of the screw is holding it down. I would get a pic, but it is raining right now.

I've never had the problem of the panel popping up, but I have had a problem with the power window switch dropping down when I try to push it in to operate the windows. Several times I had to pop the panel up and try to lock it in place. The last time I did it I finally got it to stick. Haven't had a problem since then.
