I have a black Z with 2nd gen emblems...
They are fender emblems from a 70.5-74 Z.
They ran me about $25 each a few years ago. They are nos GM parts. You can get repops a little cheaper.
I think mine came from Classic, I don't remember. It was a place that was all about 1st and 2nd gen restoration. The places that had old emblems for 4th gen guys wanted way too much for the same parts.
I don't think the emblems look good on the back, mine is bare.
Check the pics on my site to see...
Good luck

I used a hair dryer to heat the emblems slightly, peeled them off, then rubbed the remaining tape off with my fingers... ouch.
A little adhesive remover helped too.
It's a bit of a pain. Take your time is the best advice.

Btw... I think I might have a short write up on the emblems on one of the pages in my site.

I put the '69 series on my car and had no problem removing mine with a blow drier and a little bit of WD40 to remove the adhesive residue. Mine came RIGHT off and left no marks at all. It just takes some 3M double sided molding tape and you're good to go.
