The tricky part is getting the needles back on in exactly the same places.
I did all but the speedometer by taking close up before pictures with my digital camera. I took the pics with the engine cold and the key on, but without the engine running.
For the speedometer, I used a handheld GPS to get my cruise control set at exactly 60mph. I then had a friend hold the wheel as I put the needle on at exactly 60.
If I was doing it again, I'd do the fuel gauge a little differently. I'd just fill the tank to the top, and stick the needle on at Full.

What is different in the ones you have to remove the needles on and the one you slide over the needles? Just the size of the holes?
