I am getting a daytona style hood for my 86 Z28, and on the sides there 4 little opening and I would like to put some kind of metal or plastic mesh/screen.Kind of like what the ss hoods have in the front.

Search the sport car sites. Like http://www.ioportracing.com/ , some of them sell screen. Your probably going to have to cut your own.

Does the metal gutter guard they sell at homedepot rust? could it be painted?
