Where can I get Eport Tail Lights

I saw a pic. of a SS with export tail lights in the latest Super Chevy Magazine.
Can I order them through GM?

Follow the link in my sig for the taillight upgrade and you will find where to purchase the taillights. I don't think that there are any more export taillights available in the U.S., so you have to buy used ones from Japan. You will get top notch service and taillights from the guy on my page.

Hey, Dan. How are you?

Dan is correct. There are no more available in the states. You can buy "Take offs" from the guy that Dan is talking about.

Good luck,
Fred

Hey! I'm great how about you? I working on getting a WW SS spoiler to fit correctly on my car. Other than that, not much is new with it. How about your car? Have you done anything to it?

You CAN get them in the states. I ordered them today. I can get about as many as i would need but supplies are VERY low (98-2002 models). These are new direct from GM. (i work at a dealership next door to the GM dealer) Ofcourse, I get them at list with is far less than what tey sell for. They will be in on Tuesday, I will post pics then.

Yeah...
Someone on LS1.com bragged a while back that they ordered them and could get them... They got regular 97-02 tail lights when they came in. Special order no less, so no refund.
Hope you are luckier, but they weren't available when I tried to order.
Good luck
Dave

I am willing to bet you just ordered yourself a set of 97-02 export tailights right?, which are the sam as the ones on our cars already, in 97, GM started using the same lihts on all Camaro's, since they finally had thre different color divisions on the lights, meeting export criteria. You have to order 93-96 export lights, to get the ones we all have been searching for.

We haven't heard anymore from him.
I have a feeling he is stuck with a set of 97+ tail lights like others before him.
A high price for common parts.

sorry for the delay in replying. the dealership did infact order the 97-02 exports. they seem to look the same, but maybe a larger red reflector. he did however take them back. he assumed the 93-96 were the same as the 97-02. As we all know, the 93-96 is no longer avail at any depot. They have discontinued the left one and the right is showing 1 left. I contacted the dealership in Cali that was showing 1 and they do not have it. he did however contact Detroit and he is checking into the overseas depot's for price/availability. Being that is a "stock" item overseas, he is hopefull that there will be a supply.
If i get anymore details on this, i will be sure to post it. BTW: I have also contacted Canada as well, they nolonger have them either, it seems the GM "Locator" covers North America which includes Canada.
