When you buy rims....

When you buy a new set of rims, when you get different back spacing will that effect the out side recess as well, especially for F-body Z06's?As I got the 65mm ones and would of liked the 56mm ones better.Does that change the outside appearence or just more material is taken off were the hub is mounted? If they are the same I will just put spacers on them to make up the diffence.Thanks....John

For a given rim width... I assume you are talking 9.5" width... a larger offset moves the outside edge and inside edge of the wheel deeper into the fender. Only the hub stays in the same place. The 65mm offset will sit about 1/3" deeper in the wheel well than the 56mm offset.

Thanks for the reply Injuneer, I think I understand that part but on the Z06 rims does that change the apperance of the outside lip or depth of it?As I will just put some spacer on there to bring them another 2.55" out further to make up the difference. What I trying to ask is if you can tell whether or not that all Z06 rims look the same from the outside apperance regardless of their width or offset? Thanks again....John
