Wheel studs, spacers, tires and y2k offset????

I just got a hold of some 18x9.5 y2k rims with a 65mm offset. I was told that I would probably need spacers to make them fit correctly. Then I realized after some research that I should probably get longer wheel studs as well, just to be safe. I will be running 275/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sports all the way around, or atleast in the front anyway. Will it look good with 275's in front and 285's in rear?

My question to you all is what length studs and spacers do I need?

What is a reasonable price?

And where should I look to get them?

Also, will they fit in either the front or rear with no spacers, or do I need spacers all the way around?

Thanks,

John

Depends how deep you want the wheels/tire to sit in the wheel openings. Stock 17x9 offset is 55mm. I've run 17x9.5 wheels with 49mm offset and with 56mm offset (front only).

Your 65mm offset are going to sit 0.40" to 0.63" deeper into the wheel well than the wheels in those pictures. Depend if you like the look, but your wheels will be very close to where the stock 16x8's are, and slightly further into the wheel well than the stock SS/WS6 wheels.

If you try and match the 56mm wheel position, you need approx a 3/8" spacer. You could also get away with a 5/16" spacer.

You would need studs that are the same amount longer than stock. Stock studs are 2" (2.14" oveerall). So you would need a 2.5" stud. Problem is the only studs I have seen for the 4th Gens are the ones that LPE and GMPP sell, and they are 2.67" + about .5" of unthreaded projection on the end. They will stick way out of a stock lug. You can cut the unthreaded projection off though, or even a few of the threads.

Thank you very much! I have two michelin pilot sports right now. They are 275/35/18. Should I look to put these on the front, rear, or get two more of the same size for both the front and rear? I like the way the first picture looks with the 49mm offset. I guess I would go with the 3/8" spacer for that look huh?
