I like the look, but you are definately going to get pulled over with the sides that dark in CA.

I had my V6 set up that way and got pulled over a few times. It's nice to have a friend or two in high places, though. It never got to the point that I had to take it off.

I've actually got the dark and med on my Z now. I think it equates to 15 and 20 percent if I remember right (Rear and sides, respectively). I haven't been pulled over yet, but my "friends" tell me that it's still illegal.

Yeah keep your windows down if u can man, i spent ALOT on tint tickets in Cali. I love the look though

Well some of you are lucky, and some of you arent. I have gotten 5, yes 5 tickets for my front tint. And of those tickets 4 of them have come with no front plate. Kinda sucks, but I get a ticket about once every 6 months or so. Cost is $77. I have limo on all 3 windows. My bro has 15 on all 3 of his windows, and never gotten a ticket. He has had his car for 4 years, and Ive had mine for 3. Some people get all the luck.
Gotta have black windows with a black car. Also thats a good white/black/chrome you have going.

 

...one of the cool effects of limo tint, is that the front windshield actually appears to be tinted dark as well, since no light is getting thru the other windows..:

I must aggree with you. I look at my car when I get out of work, and cant see in the winshield. The black color probably helps as well.

That is pretty lucky.

Personally, I think that CHP and motorcycle cops (from whereever) are the sticklers for tint and front plates. They live and breath vehicle code.

I think patrol officers from the local police and sheriff just stack the violations when you **** them off. They are too busy out there trying to catch real criminals...IMO...

 

I live in VA and radar detectors are illegal here (1 of 2 places its illegal in the US). Anyway, like i was saying, when I run around the street here, if my radar detector goes off, I always put my windows down. No point in getting a speeding/window tint/jerk to cop ticket at the same time. Also my front license plate is off my car and has been. Never gotten a ticket with for the windows (4 months) or the lisense plate being off (1 year). My excuse for the plate is "I washed my car today, the bracket broke, and I gotta go by Chevrolet tomorrow and order a new one". And when cops walk up to my car, I always have my window down greeting them so they never pay any attention to my windows.

Play is smart if you know you are illegal. A fast car doesn't always go fast and anything illegal isn't illegal unless you get caught. Follow that and you will keep that drivers license alot longer.

Well the picture doesnt work for me, but I bet it looks good. I myself have 12 on the sides, 6 on the back, and I havent gotten harassed yet. Maybe its luck, i dont know, but I havent even heard of someone getting pulled over for tint.

Maybe the cops down here in Fl aren't as bad but I have 5% limo on all windows including a 14" strip on windshied and have yet to be pulled over (knock on wood) have had 5% on all my cars.
