Post 98 z28 taillight question

i have a 98 z28, is the 97 and down years the same taillights, because i like the lights without the orange, and i could just swap them with a junk yard for no charge if they would fit.. and do they look better than the 98+

Thanks

to do the swap from 98+ lights to 93-97 lights you also need to swap out the taillight harness too!

Actualy you dont have to swap the harness.
I have worked on the wiring to the taillights of a 95 and a 01. The harnesses are very different but what matters is the if the bulb sockets will fit in the socket holes.
All of the bulb sockets from your 98 will fit just fine in a 93-96 taillight assembly.
You will probably want to put the signaling bulb in the inner socket hole and the brakeing bulb in the middle socket hole.

I'll trade you bow2ak. I am up in LA every couple of months, and my grandma lives in Pasadena. Let me know what you think. We can swap them in your garage. Or if you come down to SD ever, we can swap em in my garage.

Ya, Maybe just something to change it up a little bit. I personally like the yellow in the turn signal. I'm not a big fan of the red for my turn signal. ANd yes, I do know where SDSU is and I know it starts next monday. Does your bro have a camaro too? I mailed you, but you didnt write back. Let me know. Lata

Not to sound like an @sshole, but the years are 93-96, and then they changed in 97... So it would be 97+; they all have the same (i believe) tailights... Just a thought....

you're refering to the taillights that look like this, right? : http://www.danielbrincat.com/981/97c...7Camaro047.jpg
