T/A's are a little trickier - you guys really get screwed worse than us 93-97 Camaro guys...but your headlights don't suck out of the box either.

Your two options for headlights is find a sealed beam with higher wattage/white bulbs in them already (Silverstar makes these...not sure about your size though)...or you can look for a sealed beam conversion kit - which is a housing that allows you to plug and play your own bulbs. Get a quality name though whatever you do. Also, I know this has been discussed several times, so you might want to search for it with different terms - I know it has been hashed out - I was involved several times.

T/A fog lights I haven't studied a lot, but I know it has been discussed too.

How was the lighting on the road improved? From the pics I can tell the car appearance was improved.

What made you choose the hellas over the silverstars?

Do they match you fog lights or did you do those too?

Why didnt you go with the Hella FF75's?

Thanks.

Silverstars aren't any higher wattage, just a higher bulb. There is a very drastic improvement in lighting of the road with the Hella's. Sorry for not replying sooner. Ironically, my driver side low beam went out today

I thought i read somewhere on here that if you went with a 100 watt bulb you need to upgrade your wiring harnesses. Maybe i'm wrong but i thought i read it on here somewhere.

I was thinking that also, plus doesn't the higher wattage kill the life of the bulb by half? If these things are the case, I'll just run the Silverstars, only because I need my car up and running 100% asap.

Re: Want brighter lights for $cheap?

Update: I went with Hella FF75's for all my driving lights, as did Cmr0z28 after one of his Hella bulbs went out recently and they longer make the replacements.

Re: Want brighter lights for $cheap?

this isnt neciserally cheap, but if you are going to be replacing your bulbs with 9005/9006, you can get HID upgrade kits, most of wich i have seen are about 350.
http://www.hidking.com/hidkits.html

if anyone finds anything like this for cheaper, please let me know... if anone tries it, let me know how it turns out.

So I went to order some bulbs and it looks like you used these bulbs?

HL78316 Replacement 9006 Bulb, 12V, 80W $10.25

Why did you choose the Halogens over the Xenons of the same wattage?

HL88931S Replacement 9006 Bulb, 12V, 80W Optilux Xenon XB $16.89

Re: Want brighter lights for $cheap?

Not sure if Hella is making all the lights they advertise, last I checked rallylights.com said they couldnt sell me the replacement onces since they had problems with them and were redesigning the bulb.

Also how do you like your thunderform and where did you hide the Amp? What kind of 10" and Amp do you have? Other speakers? Thanks, my Bose took a dump and I bought a cheap thunderform. But I guess its ok since I work at Best Buy.

The one I have is self powered, so the amp's inside. 150w I think. I love it. It's the best sounding 10" I've heard. I got a JVC MP3 player going 50x4 into 4 pioneer 3-way 6.5". It's great. It actually goes louder than my exhaust ... which is important!

Thanks. Got the 3 way part number? Yea, mine wasnt powered, so I guess I'll have to get creative. LT's and GMMG make it rough on listening to tunes. But thats kind of a good thing

Perhaps if you want good lighting you should consider Hella FF75's, for $37.99 a pair its not a bad investment. It is a cosmetic mod just as much as a lighting mod.
